Preventing Problems #1 (Courage to Encourage #11) (Philippians 4:1-5)

Bo Grace, July 3, 2016
Part of the Courage To Encourage series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

As the old adage goes, “An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.” We need to PREVENT PROBLEMS, and we do things everyday to do so. I change the oil in my car, the filters in my air conditioner. I try to watch my diet, I take supplements. I back my doors… on and on I could go.

Our study through the book of Philippians finds us at a place where the apostle Paul gives us some great instruction on PREVENTING PROBLEMS… that’s the title of this message. This is the first of a two part miniseries on PREVENTING PROBLEMs - #1

Philippians 4:1-5

1Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. 2I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. 3And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. 4Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. 5Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. (KJV)
