How to Treat Your Mother - Mother's Day ()

Bo Grace, May 14, 2017
Part of the series, preached at a Sunday Morning service

Happy Mother’s Day! Today, we honor mothers for a thousand reasons, and yet this day sometimes causes anxiety for women. Some who long to be mothers aren’t – or can’t. Some have bad memories of their mother. Some mothers have bad memories of their children!
The Bible is filled with many great examples and much teaching about motherhood, but today, the focus will be a little different. The focus today is upon everybody who has – or has had a mother… I think that includes everybody in this room!
The title of the message today is: HOW TO TREAT YOUR MOTHER… so I guess the focus is on “children” no matter how old you may be. This message applies to you if your mother is living. This message applies to you if – like me – your mother is no longer living, because it should give us a Biblical view of how we should relate to mothers.
Motherhood was God’s idea for the perpetuation of society from the beginning, and He gives us clear instruction regarding HOW TO TREAT YOUR MOTHER.
